Ghana’s male senior football national team, the Black Stars, arrived at the Moroccan town of AI Hoceima on Saturday and all 23 players are in good condition, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed.

According to reports, the team is in high spirits, expectant of beating Madagascar to consolidate their top position on the league log.

A win for the four-time African champions means Ghana will pick the sole slot in Group I to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to avoid a play-off.

“All 23 players travelled to Morocco in good condition ahead of the crucial Group I game, which takes place on Monday, March 24, 2025,” said the FA.

Ghana recorded a resounding 5-0 victory against Chad on Friday to climb to the top of the table and will play against Madagascar at the Stade Mimoun AI Arsi in AI Hoceima, Morocco at 19.00 hours GMT.
