The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt to arrest suspected armed robbers who shot and killed two policemen, according to a statement released Sunday.
The statement signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs for the Ghana Police Service confirmed that the two policemen were shot dead on Sunday, April 13, 2025, by suspected armed robbers in Poyamirea near Binduri in the Upper East Region.
The deceased, the Police observed were said to be in mufti (plain clothes) and were on private motorbikes travelling from Bongo to Binduri when they were attacked, shot, and killed and their motorbikes taken away.
“The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt to identify and arrest robbers who shot two policemen today, 13th, April 2025 at Poyamirea on the outskirts of Binduri,” said the Police.
The police expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and assured the public that the perpetrators of this heinous crime would be arrested and made to face justice. Enditem
