Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the leadership of the party will embark on a nationwide thank-you tour beginning April 23, according to a statement by the party on Monday.
The tour, which will begin from the party’s national headquarters in under the theme “In all things, give thanks to God,” will culminate in national interfaith thanksgiving services that include both Christian and Islamic religions, fostering a spirit of gratitude and reflection.
“The 2024 presidential candidate of the NPP, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, together with the national leadership of the party, will embark on a nationwide Thank You Tour beginning Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the party’s headquarters,” said the statement by the party.
“The tour, which was approved by the National Council, is intended to convey the sincere and heartfelt appreciation of the party, the presidential candidate, and the campaign team to the rank-and-file of the party, as well as the general public, for their unwavering support, encouragement, and commitment throughout the 2024 electoral period,” added the statement.
The NPP, led by Bawumia, lost the 2024 presidential election to John Dramani Mahama of the then-opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). Enditem
