Ghana beats Uganda 2-0 in U15 boys African schools championship

Ghana’s U15 boys’ team on Wednesday made a strong start to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Schools Football Championship campaign with a 2-0 victory over Uganda at the University of Ghana Stadium.

John Andor, who was a delight to watch, scored the first goal with a superb strike and the second coming via a goalkeeping error, as Ghana picked up the maximum points in their opening match.

Despite making their debut in the competition, the young side showed maturity and control, bossing the game from start to finish during the 40-minute contest, which consists of two halves of 20 minutes each.

Ghana will continue their group stage campaign against South Africa at 11:00 am on Thursday, before facing Algeria at 3:00 pm later in the day to wrap up the group phase.
