Let’s pardon players for missed chances in 1-1 draw against FC Samartex – Prosper Ogum

Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach for Asante Kotoko has urged fans to pardon his players for the many missed chances in the Ghana Premier League game against FC Samartex.

The Porcupine Warriors played as guests to the defending league champions on Saturday. In the pulsating encounter that ensued between the two teams, neither side could earn all three points after the contest ended 1-1.

Kotoko players Saaka Dauda and Isaac Mintah missed crucial chances that could have won the match for the team.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum rued the missed chances but indicated that his players should be pardoned.

“I’m not happy about [missed chances]. If you look at the game, it was a tensed game, and normally when players become tensed, their technique also becomes tensed. Even though there were obvious chances, we have to pardon the players,” Coach Ogum said.

In his interview, the Kotoko coach assured that his team will continue working hard to improve on goal-scoring. Enditem
