President Mahama’s X account hacked -Cyber Security Authority

The X (formerly Twitter) account of President John Dramani Mahama has been compromised, the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) announced Tuesday.

According to a statement by the CSA, the president’s X account, which was compromised has been used to promote cryptocurrency.

“In the early hours of Monday, March 17, 2025, the Cyber Security Authority received a report concerning the compromise of the President, H. E. John Dramani Mahama’s X (formerly Twitter) account; @JDM. The account has been used to promote a cryptocurrency called “Solana Africa”, said the statement.

“We understand the public concern this incident has generated and are actively addressing the situation. The Authority is working closely with X and other relevant stakeholders to address this incident and to prevent future occurrences,” added the statement.

The country’s Cyber Security Authority assured it will provide further updates as investigation progresses. Enditem
