The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno has made changes to the Police Management Board (POMAB), this is according to a statement released Wednesday.
The statement signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)/Mrs. Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director, Public Affairs Department observed that the changes were to ensure effective management and operational control of the service.
“The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno has today, 19th March, 2025 made the following command changes to ensure effective management and operational control of the Ghana Police Service,” said the statement.
Among the 31 persons appointed by the IGP to the new POMAG include Commissioner of Police (COP) Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwa Addo-Danquah, who is now the Director-General for Research and Planning.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service will be headed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Ms. Lydia Yaako Donkor as the Director-General while (ACP)/Mrs. Grace Ansah-Akrofi has been maintained as Director for the Public Affairs Department.
The appointment also includes commanders of some Police Regional Commands across the country and key divisions with the service.
